Teeth whitening is one of the quickest and easiest ways of getting a nicer smile. This gentle, effective treatment has long-lasting results.

Teeth whitening can be done on its own or as part of a more complex smile makeover involving crowns, veneers or even implants. At Airport Dental, we offer two different treatment options:

Daytime Bleaching (€295)

This system involves making customised comfortable covers for your teeth. The tooth whitening gel is applied once a day for 30 minutes. This process is repeated for 10-14 days until a beautiful result is achieved. This system uses the latest Colgate Professional Max-Whitening Gel.

Night-time Bleaching (€250)

This system uses the same customised covers as the Daytime Bleaching. The gel, in this case Polanite carbamide peroxide, is applied overnight for 10-14 days to achieve a whiter smile.

Tooth Whitening FAQs

Q: Is it painful?

A:No. Normally patients may experience mild sensitivity during the course of treatment. This can be minimised by using a sensitive toothpaste and the sensitivity will settle once the treatment is complete.

Q:Can it damage my teeth?

A:No. The treatment is entirely safe when carried out as instructed by your dentist.

Q:Will my fillings/crowns change colour?

A:No. If you have fillings in your front teeth, these are not affected by tooth whitening. These fillings may need to be replaced after the teeth have been whitened.

 

Q:How long do the results last?

A: The result normally last for 18-24 months.

Q:Am I suitable for tooth whitening?

A: Most patients over the age of 18 with healthy teeth and gums are suitable for teeth whitening.
